A lot of stuff comes across our desks here at sweetspot.ca.
A lot.
We're lucky to have so many people keeping us in the loop (and do go through absolutely everything) but something came in recently that deviated from the norm.
The nondescript bottle of moisturizer landed on its own, printed with skin-softening promises instead of the usual identifying label.
As a hand cream the mystery lotion sunk in fast and had a light scent (fresh laundry is the closest comparison) that didn't overwhelm.
On my elbows it immediately erased any scaly bits (I guess I've been neglecting my elbows) and an hour later they were still smooth.
And though I swore I'd used it before, no, I couldn't safely say what it was.
The answer came a couple of days later via email (OK, full disclosure, I flipped the bottle over after I'd tried it to see what other info it contained and there was a contact name, that given my ongoing relationships with some pr people, led me in the right guessing direction).
Turns out I'd been applying Jergens Ultra Care Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer ($8 for 480ml on well.ca).
It was just such a different way to share a sample (and a rather innovative piece of mail) that I thought I'd do the same.
Now tell me, do you think you could ID your usual cream?
Thought that was sweet? You'll enjoy:
