I joke that I might have been a magpie, given how drawn I am to shiny, sparkly things.

If there's a sequin in sight, I probably like it. A studded accent on something? I'm sold. Or make it metallic and I'm sure I'll at least pick it up. (Just not all at once — don't worry, I still appreciate the art of balance.) I'm even wearing a sequined tee as I type. Seriously.

It's easy to dress up for the evening, but I also love some sparkle in the daytime too. Just mix with denim, or a casual jacket, cute flats or anything that tones down the outfit a little and lets the embellished element act as more of an accent.

So yes, the next time you see something shiny, know that I'm probably a fan.
