Don’t call it a comeback.
Like the ground-breaking scents of Thierry Mugler’s past (Angel in ‘92 and Alien in ‘95), the latest perfume Womanity ($46-$110) is the first to capture what was thought to be impossible: bottling the smell of salt.
A fancy new molecular extraction process lifted savoury notes of caviar (which come through as hints of leather and sea air) and sweet accords of fig. The result? A sexy new combination that is at once sweet and savoury. Plus, the gothic/art deco bottle also has major vanity table appeal (not to mention it’s also refillable).
Finally, a grown-up scent that’s a bit complicated and totally unexpected. Just like us.
