Blow by Blow

blow outsToronto (Dec.12.08)

At this rate, we may never wash our own hair again. From our love for the Blowdry Lounge to blog confessions, our secret isn’t really under wraps anymore.

And since we’re not the only ones with an appetite for effortless hair, we were thrilled to discover two great new options: The Blow & Go Bar at Ritual 2 and Blown at Hair on the Avenue.

We stopped into the newly set up Blow & Go Bar within already established Ritual 2 for a Bed Head Blow Out ($30, tax included) and left with tousled tresses that we only wish we had waking up. We started by picking from a binder of six styles with corresponding celeb headshots (and could have gone Big Bold & Beautiful, Straight & Narrow and lots in between). Then walked out with perfect party hair that lasted days.

Next we were tipped off to try Blown at Hair on the Avenue. We immediately fell for its cozy charm (it’s the first floor of a Victorian house), not to mention the Kérastase products and expert stylists. After blustering in with a windswept mop, we were whisked away to an area devoted entirely to the art of blow-outs ($29). Thirty minutes later, we bounced out with gorgeous locks that had us wondering why we ever tried this at home.

Maybe we’ll start saving on shampoo.
