It's Christmas (or a free day off work if you don't celebrate) and here's what I'm thankful for this year:
1. The W Hoboken, where I'm staying right now, as I spend the holidays with my in-laws and my new nephew. The hotel caters Christmas dinner, so we get to have our turkey and stuffing, and eat it too (without turning on the oven!).
2. My own dad and stepmom, who agreed to celebrate Christmas one week early so I wouldn't miss out by being away from home for my first Christmas ever. You two are the best!
3. Skating at Nathan Phillips Square after the holiday hoopla is over with my husband. A few Christmases ago, he bought me a snowman Thermos and everytime we go skating we fill it with hot chocolate and marshmallows and take it with us for a mid-skate break (which is about five minutes after we start skating. Don't judge - I have weak ankles!).
4. These cookie cutters from Williams-Sonoma, which are not only adorable because you can personalize them to the person you're giving to, but they can double as a gift tag or tree ornament -- which is my way of being eco-friendly this year and not doing paper gift tags.
5. My great co-workers, who make every day at the office so fun.
6. My friends, who make my time that's not at work even more fun.
7. The ability to live my dreams. You'll see what I'm talking about in next week's post...
8. Giving away free stuff! Congratulations to Ldoogs, winner of a copy of Paris Times Eight by Deirdre Kelly!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and Happy Holidays!
