I’ve been enamoured with Sweetspot since it launched five years ago. At first, I was a subscriber —just like you —and looked forward to my daily email updates on all things sweet in the city. Then, while maintaining my full-time gig as a magazine beauty editor, I became a freelance writer for Sweetspot, penning the What's Happening column. During the day, I tested lipglosses and mascaras; but at night I looked forward to grabbing a friend to see a play, art exhibit, concert or charity event, so I could share my finds with Sweetspot readers.
When my first novel came out in 2007, Sweetspot was the first to write about it (and I'm still grateful for the glowing review).
So when, a few months ago, Joanna Track called me to see if I'd be interested in joining the team full-time as Editorial Director, I was thrilled. And when I saw the adorable office—complete with pink chairs, pink candy in the reception area and pink stationery supplies in what would soon be my workspace—I knew I couldn’t say no. I'm obsessed with pink. From my pink travel mug to my pink golf club bag, I never leave home without a pink accessory. So for me, it was as if the mothership was calling me home.
Each week, I'll be blogging about the little things that can make your outfit, your home or even the most mundane day that much sweeter. Just like the cherry on top of a sundae.
