Fashion has always helped us make a statement. Our purses advocate an environmentally friendly future. Our tank tops profess our political leanings. And sometimes we even wear our heart on our sleeve.

We’re putting all serious statements aside this summer to just have a little fun.

Our new Whitehorse Couture collection is helping us keeping it light with hippie-chic tees that do plenty of talking (in a happy, zen voice, of course). Designed in LA, the t-shirts ($65) range from big, yellow 80s smiley faces to “Drop love not bombs” statements. Made from 100% cotton and worn-in with frayed edges, comfort and style were definitely on Paris’ mind when she picked up one of each on her recent trip to Abe & Mary’s.

Our favourite? Strategically placed seashells with a retro Honolulu print. We may not be able to get away to a paradise island, but at least we’ve discovered the lighter side of summer.
