Two for One

We’ve started a gleeful campaign to avoid indoor activities (housework) and warm our bones under the summer sun. “Let’s get out of the house,” is our new motto.
Hence the need for a few cute outfits to wear to the park. Streamlining our shopping expedition, we headed to a new boutique that’s really two stores in one (we couldn’t resist the efficiency!). La Gamine/Renée Lévesque features jewellery on the left-hand side, fused with a fashion emporium on the right.
The jewellery half looks like a Victorian bedroom, painted white and decorated with glittering bobbles by designer Renée Lévesque. Each piece ($40-$120) is a playful blend of faux pearls, crystals, semi-precious stones and shiny metals. Mesmerized by the variety of necklaces, we eventually settled on a soft green choker ($79) and a white and silver chain ($77).
Taking a couple of steps to the right, we finished our shopping expedition at La Gamine. We fell for the bags by nat et nin ($199-$259), a French design duo who make urban handbags in crinkled leather, and the quirky weekend totes by Iscov ($80-$128). We completed our look with a quick browse through their selection of clothing and footwear (we’re now the proud owners of striped nylon booties by San Miguel, $105).
Armed with our new bags, boots and bijoux, we’re finally ready to head outdoors and live up to our new motto.
