Fashion is a Family Affair

It’s hard to imagine a family dinner with talk of fashion rather than talk of why we didn’t go to law school. Maybe that’s why supper at our house ends with dessert and self-doubt, and a dinner at the Genovese household spawns a hip new Queen West boutique.
At least we can happily visit jacflash, the result of a dinner table discussion between father-daughter duo (and new business partners) Jaclyn and Geoff Genovese. Opening its doors tomorrow, we’re waiting to snap up pieces from their fall line-up.
We’ve taken note of an Alice + Olivia gold sequined tank-dress ($575) and black sequined top ($525), which we’ll pair with grape-hued Denim of Virtue jeans ($199) and gray, soni & cindy jeans with ankle-to-knee zipper ($210).
Items from Mynk denim, Young Fabulous & Broke and Flux Nouveau were picked out by the Mom, Dad and daughter of the Genovese clan, so there’s sure to be something for every age range. (And when we need a break from the sartorial goodies, we'll take a breather at one of the listening stations in the indie music section.)
Who knew Mom and Pop had such great taste?
