No matter how determined we are to travel light, the packing dilemma is one that never seems to go away. And with airlines starting to charge for checked baggage, less is more. But what to do about that stylish but heavy space-gobbler known as the trench coat? Aug9_Travel_Mackage_220x155.gif

It's now easy to pack for all possibilities with urban outerwear from the House of Mackage. Proudly Montreal-based, designers Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan have built up international acclaim and a fan base that includes Jessical Biel and Eva Avila (and Sweetspot, of course).

The Packables collection consists of chic raincoats that fold neatly into themselves. Made from lightweight 100% water-resistant nylon, these coats will shelter us from the rain, without compromising on style (or valuable suitcase space). The closely cropped Brie ($290) and the knee-length hooded Yaya ($380) are the size of a small purse (complete with strap), but unfold into tailored rain-gear that will keep us covered no matter what Mother Nature has planned.

Available in several colours, coordinating outfits for the trip is also a whole lot easier. (Though coats this stylish deserve to be worn at home, too.)
