On the ski hills of life, we can be commoners, or we can be royals.
We’ve joined the latter ranks with hot new gear from Royal Board Shop.
This new snow n’surf shop carries unique and hard-to-find clothing and board brands like DVLP, SpaceCraft and Nitro—all new to the Alberta market. Decorated like a retro living room, it can’t get much cooler picking out ski stuff for 2009.
We couldn’t resist a pair of the magenta L1ta snowboard pants from Nitro ($176) with its pretty leaf detailing, and we quickly changed into the super-soft bamboo underlayer shirt from EESA ($45), a fabric that draws sweat away from the body and pushes it to the outer layers. (Not that royalty ever sweats, right?)
Other brands include Signal, Bataleon and Clyde snowboards ($419-449), Celsius boots ($150), and Static, Nikita, Split, Jedidiah and Uranium clothing.
With this much choice, we’ll be ruling the ski hills like royalty. (Sadly, without the crown.)
