We can safely say anything new excites us. Staying excited though, that's another matter (see New Coke debacle circa 1985). 
Stumbling upon the perfect holiday party dress from new designer Carrie Hayes definitely got our blood pumping. Her fall début of CARRIE has left us wanting more.
The Deep Cobalt strapless number ($375) that tipped us off to this award-winning (yup, already) designer is just what we need to stand out in a sea of black at holiday parties. And thanks to its simple lines, tailored details and interesting pattern we know it won't be a one-season look for us.
But being the new junkies that we are, we had to know what else we could expect our way (we never said we were good at waiting). And luckily, Calgary's getting even more of CARRIE come spring. There will be the three-colour linen Slender Dress ($575), the loose, flirty Flexural Dress ($425) in cream and a form-fitting tank Decussate Dress ($340) in organic bamboo jersey with a sexy cross-strapped low back.
Now all we need is a little patience. Or maybe some new shoes...
