Phyne is a new 17th Avenue boutique that carries chic labels never before seen in Calgary. We're talking J Brand Lovestory jeans ($210), the pair declared this year's "it" jean by Vogue magazine. And in a few weeks, they'll be rolling out Serfontaine jeans, another a regular in the pages of the fashion bible.
Unique, fun items like Montreal label MycoAnna's reworked vintage jackets made with faux fur ($160-275) had us weak at the knees. We loved the black cocktail dress from Scoop ($160) with ruffled cuff sleeves, a high neck and gold zipper. It's perfection paired with a vintage jewellery piece from Paco Montestruque ($60 and up).
Phyne deals exclusively in women's fashion but is owned by three local guys with a penchant for great clothes and the women who wear them. They promise a good party for the store's official grand opening on November 30. And with our new outfit, we aren't going to needing any mistletoe.
