Ever since we showed up in that brand new ensemble and (gasp!!) saw our dress-twin, we have become obsessed with discovering designers with one-of-a-kind outfits. (Or at least hard-to-find ones.) 
What better place to scout out the freshest faces of fashion than at Phunk – Friday night’s up-and-coming runway show at Calgary’s Annual Fashion Week.
Our flirty side can’t wait to see the Charlie R. line by Southern Alberta designer, Shelly Court. Named after her baby daughter – but definitely for grown up girls – she’s already won a North American contest for fashion accessories, and she deserves even more accolades for her youthful mini-dresses ($85 -$150). With just a touch of grandma’s nostalgia, they’ll work for any season just by adding some leggings or jeans.
For our next ski getaway, we’ll turn to Cheryl Janish and her Frost Sportiva line. As an avid skier and designer, the technologically advanced fibres in her collection of pants and jackets (starting at $250) not only look flattering on – they do their job on the hill. Plus, her more relaxed urban line is perfect for chalet bunnies. Our favourite? A one-piece ski suit with a bustier top. (This bunny means business.)
Grabbing it now is a must – with up-and-comers like these, there’s no telling how long we’ll have before running into an outfit twin!Cla
