We need help. We’re addicted to Insomnia.
Ever since the café opened its doors, we’ve been known to make daily visits. We’re unabashedly hooked on the Fratello espresso lattes ($2.50), aka heaven in an Italian-made ACF cups.
Don’t even get us started on the smooth mousse-stuffed cupcakes ($2.50), made on site from scratch. And our ultimate fix? The Espressicles—popsicles made with espresso and condensed milk ($1.75).
Sure, it’s shocking that our heads even hit a pillow with all of the caffeine we’re sucking back. Should actual insomnia set in, though, we can always rely on one deliciously contradictory Insomnia Naptime (warm milk and a cookie, $3.50) to get us ready to count sheep in no time.
The old Burns building location is the perfect place to hunker down with a computer (think combination of 1912 architecture, 25-foot high windows and free WiFi, too). We can even stay connected to their Twitter updates (it’s how we knew to speed over for the fresh-out-of-the-oven lemon poppyseed muffins, $1.50).
Who are we kidding? We’re happy to stay insomniacs.
