We’re always on the lookout for the perfect place to hunker down with a book (or laptop) on a quiet afternoon.
And La Bistrote, a charming, thoughtfully decorated bistro tucked away in Griffintown, offers us the ideal combination of tasty fare in a cosy, casual setting.
We savoured the perfectly crisp tomato, basil, goat cheese and pesto pizza ($8) in between bites of the smoked turkey sandwich ($8) with aged cheddar and maple chipotle mayo. Full as we were, the dense white chocolate Oreo brownie ($4) was too tempting to resist.
And with future plans for drinks and a jazz band, it looks like we’ve got our evenings covered too (minus the laptop).
