A recent viewing of Vicky Cristina Barcelona made us yearn for la vida loca.
Luckily, local nightlife trio Alan Goodall, D-Rock and Matt Schmidt are putting their spin on original discothèques – and looking to ignite that Spanish passion – by opening Barcelona Ultra Lounge.
The space is saturated in colours and textures, with hints of red wallpaper and gold details, a state-of-the-art sound system and elevated VIP booths encircling the dance floor. A heavy-hitter roster of resident DJs – like Zac Santiago, Marlon J English and Tyson V – are on deck (literally) to keep the lounge vibe muy caliente.
We may not be in Spain, but next time we’re out, Barcelona is our destination.
