We’ve experienced a frog in the throat before. (Usually before a big speech.) But a frog in our teapot?
Thankfully, Une Grenouille dans la théière is just the name of an adorable teashop in Rosemont. It’s small in size but filled to the brim with loose leaf teas and freshly prepared desserts. (Lines have been known to form for a spot on the cosy couch.)
The lemon squares ($4) were bursting with fresh lemon curd, but didn’t overpower a pot of the Goldenleaf oolong ($6). A smooth Chai latte ($5) and a scone avec crème fraiche et confiture ($4) slid down the throat with ease.
We’re not having any trouble voicing our pleasure.
