A new fondue house offers lots of tasty options above and beyond the traditional dish in a pot.
We haven’t played with our food for years, but dunking it into a steaming bowl of cheese is our new favourite pastime.
Fondue & Plus offers a variety of breads, veggies, meats and seafood with an assortment of perfectly-warmed sauces. (The “Plus” stands for a fine selection of pastas and grillades made by the Italian chef.)
We started with the creamy cheese fondue appetizer ($22). The generous portion made with emmental, chives and sundried tomatoes was served with toasted bits of baguette to match our little fondue forks. There were countless main course fondues, including Italian sausage ($19), vegetables ($20) and the particularly fresh and tender filet mignon ($28).
Not to mention it’s a BYOW. Fun all around.
