Local food used to mean what we could get at our nearest corner store but has (luckily) since evolved into a more conscious choice.
Taking care of the details is Globe Earth, the Rosedale add-on to the Danforth’s Globe Bistro fame (that shares the “think global, eat local” inspiration).
The laid-back space doesn’t disappoint and the simple ingredients add up to something special. We’ll go back for the wood oven flatbreads ($10) and cut-to-order offerings from the butcher (priced per ounce) plus local mushroom tagliatelle ($17). Not to mention the garden courtyard set to open in time for patio season.
Definitely not like anything from the convenience store.
