We’ve been licking our chops in anticipation.
CHARCUT Roast House has finally opened its elegant doors to reveal an expectation-confirming gastro heaven.
The basics: CHAR stands for the custom-built rotisserie; the CUT is for the vintage-style slicer and charcuterie-eating bar.
The goods: At this carnivorous paradise, the chefs whip up unique dishes with local ingredients. We lunched on an amazing rotisserie chicken sandwich with pancetta and piri piri aioli on a brioche bun ($15), and a braised lamb melt with made-in-house goat cheese ($17).
The setting: Banquettes of rich black leather set against floor-to-ceiling windows and rough-hewn woods.
Now we’re licking our lips too.
