Running to the bank has become our favourite lunchtime errand.
Especially now that the former Stephen Avenue hot spot The Bank, has been transformed into BR&, the city’s newest steak joint (complete with some of its historical charm like marble floors and cascading chandeliers).
Lunch consists of the BR& burger ($20), a delectable three-layered patty of ground beef, braised short rib and foie gras, served on toasted brioche. (The frites alone are worth the trip and come char-grilled and topped with Executive Chef Erik Yeverino’s secret sauce.)
For fare that won’t have you speeding to the gym, we can vouch for the delicious prawn salad ($14).
We’re most certainly going to be making another deposit soon.
