We’ll admit we have a penchant for rule breaking (sometimes we just can’t help ourselves).
Which is why we’re thrilled with Wellhouse, a new Westmount restaurant that defies the notion that comfort food equals greasy food. Instead, they deliver nourishing fare that is elegant and market fresh, but also soul satisfying. (Did we mention delicious?)
Cosying up to one of their cushy banquettes, we started off with the decadent turkey poutine ($7) before savouring the salmon with cauliflower couscous ($24) served with citrus leek salad. We finished off the meal with the crave-worthy apple strudel ($7), wrapped in filo pastry and sprinkled with brown sugar.
See, breaking the rules has its own rewards.
