Having explored the globe from Boston to Bangkok, we like to consider ourselves well traveled. But we have to admit we’ve failed to reach one key destination.
Ever heard of Popcorn, Indiana? (Unofficially known as the popcorn state, where 90% of the world’s popcorn comes from.) Neither had we, until we discovered Popcorn, Indiana All-Natural Kettlecorn Popcorn ($3.99 for 339g bag). Already building a cult following in the US, we couldn’t wait to dig in when we spotted it on our local supermarket shelf.
The highly addictive treat brings together fluffy popcorn with a delicate shell of barely-there pure cane sugar and subtle, buttery salt. The hint of sweetness balanced with the pinch of salty – the ultimate taste bud union – makes this gourmet nosh perfect for any craving that calls. (And, unlike other heavily caramelized popcorn snacks, we can eat far more than a few handfuls before needing a break.)
We’re sure a stash of this good ol’ fashion popcorn will be making it into our carry-on the next time we head to L.A. (In the meantime, we’re happy eating a bag while cozying up to the season premiere of The Hills tonight…)
