Vegetarian and the City

Our pantries are filled with cup o' soups and our fridge is barren except for some mouldy cheese hiding behind a bottle of Perrier. Needless to say, our time constrained lives sometimes force us to choose convenience over freshness.
In an effort to look outside the KD box, we've turned our tummies to Burritoville. Hiding in an inconspicuous spot in NDG, the cozy space complete with kitchenette makes us feel like we're eating a homemade meal at a friend's house.
There are three categories of mains to choose from: burritos ($7.50, taxes in), tacos ($7.50) and quesadillas (from $6.50). We just can't get enough of the sweet potato burrito filled with organic black beans, cheese, rice, apples, salsa and (of course) sweet potato. And we're glad we came with a hearty appetite, as nachos and homemade salsa accompany every meal. While filling our tummies with delicious, mostly organic, vegetarian goodies, we can also feel good that they use as local products as much as possible and strive to create minimal waste.
Finally, canned items are no longer our fifth food group.
Armed with our new bags, boots and bijoux, we're finally ready to head outdoors and live up to our new motto.
