Bagging the Bag

We all have a list of excuses when it comes to leaving our brown-bagged lunch in the fridge.
The newest addition to our excuse list (#122 for those keeping count) is restaurant Aux 2 Olives, conveniently located in the south central part of downtown Montreal. Boasting a spacious dining hall with a crisp clean atmosphere, as well as a full service take-out counter, this Lebanese grill has something delicious to satisfy even the most hectic of work time schedules.
We started our meal in a pita scooping frenzy, sharing in their Mezzé Suprême (pick of three appetizers, $13 for two people). Our selection consisted of some of the freshest and tastiest hummus, babaghanoush, and stuffed vine leaves we had ever eaten. Our generous plate of golden Shish Taouk ($12) arrived just as we wiped the last bit of hummus from our dish.
We topped off our meal perfectly with their sweet Katayef dessert – mini crepe pockets stuffed with pistachios then drizzled with honey and rose water ($5).
As far as buy-instead-of-bag excuses go, we plan on using #122 for a lot more lunches in the future.
