We love the idea of breakfast dressed in our favourite black cocktail number and dark shades, nibbling on a croissant and coffee in hand, while window shopping for little blue boxes à la Holly Golightly.
And now we can unleash our iconic selves with an actual breakfast at Tiffanys. The cleverly named breakfast (and lunch) spot boasts menu items like the Decarie Special ($9.95), with corned beef hash, latkes, two eggs, bread and fresh fruit, or the belly-busting American ($11.95), with three eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage, ham, beans, hash browns and toast.
For the ladies who prefer to lunch Tiffanys menu always features a delicious soup du jour (we fell for the rich and flavourful duck/vegetable/lentil variety, $3.95) plus healthy choices like the grilled chicken sandwich ($11.95) served with lentils and couscous.
And not to worry if we can’t keep Holly Golightly’s schedule and make it for breakfast before the crack of dawn; Tiffanys serves breakfast daily until 4 p.m. (closing time). Little blue box not included.
