This ain’t no Pot o’ Gold kids, or grandma’s After Eight’s either. These chocolates may well be the perfect way to end a perfect meal, and here is the mouth-watering scoop. Vancouver chocolatiers DC DUBY will soon launch their Winter ‘05 Harvest Collection and Science Kit. They describe them as “molecular gastronomy research that culminated in delectable chocolate holiday gifts and dessert”; we like to call them “YUMMY”.
The Harvest Collection is a specially packaged assortment of individual chocolates in a sleek custom-designed gift box, available in a 12-pieces selection for $39.95 or 20-pieces for $49.95.
This year the theme of “Harvest” features untraditional flavour pairings, like parsnip-pear-vanilla emulsion, or mincemeat caramel and butternut squash emulsion. Sound weird? Wait ‘til you taste, and you’ll be won over by weird.
The Science Kit concept is similarly packaged in a custom-designed kit box and gift sleeve. The kit is intended for 8 people and includes components for 4 distinctly unique chocolate dessert “experiments” (two temperature versions of each for a total of 64 portions), each based on a scientific principle. Who doesn’t love a geek when the results are this tasty?
The Limited Release collection will be available from November 28, 2005 through February 14, 2006. That gives you eleven weeks to try them. Again, and again, and again.
