Somewhere between sassy and vibrant, you will find the translation for ‘coquine.'

And somewhere between a bistro and a bar, you will find Coquine, the newly opened restaurant that's already getting huge buzz among Yonge and Eglington locals.
Along with its Parisian-inspired design, Coquine gives new meaning to social-dining. On the one side, there's traditional tables, and on the other, a large open bar area with marbled tops for eating/drinking pleasure.
The steak frites ($18) were a crispy, salted heaven, served with a light dusting of parmesan plus mayo and ketchup sides. The steak came perfectly rare, pink and tender, and the side of sautéed wild mushrooms ($5) were soon demolished. Same for the evening special featuring seared Tilapia with colourful, chunky salsa and grilled rapini ($21). With little room for dessert, the gratuit Limoncello (thank you, Chef) made the perfect finale.
With tons more lunch or dinner options, including a variety of salads, pastas, fish and seafood specials ($18-25) - along with an extensive wine list, there's something for all palettes. Or many, many more visits.
