Our fondness for flying mythical creatures began with The Neverending Story’s Falkor as kids, but that fondness turned to food when we grew up.
With Roaming Dragon parked in designated spots around town, founders and friends Jason Apple and Jory Simkin have given us meals on wheels, but with the same cool flair found in the L.A. food truck scene.
Chef Don Letendre, formerly of Elixir Bistro, lends his culinary know-how to a concise Pan-Asian menu -- and, yes, we took full advantage of it. Tapas like Asian duck confit salad, Chinese pork belly sliders and Korean short rib tacos (from $6 each) – plus lychee and basil lemonade ($4) – filled our bellies, which looked Buddha-like après meal.
Consider this dragon slayed.
