A Beacon for Your Weekend

It’s another Friday. You thought it would never get here. And while the good news is you’ve made it to the weekend, it’s now time for another round of the “where should we go this weekend?" debate (Oh, how we know it too well). Well here’s a new twist for your Drake –Lobby—Avenue routine. Head to The Beaconsfield, Toronto’s newest and hottest place to see-and-be-seen. Just a few short steps from the Drake, this cozy and ambient brasserie is a great place to grab a bite, sip a cocktail and mingle with the local artsy crowd. Located in the former Molson Bank building, this new haunt has a warm, intimate bistro feel with its dark wood panelling and leather banquettes (think Pastis, or Brasserie from New York, but just a wee bit smaller).
And if you show up hungry, Chef Bernie Druxerman has put together an eclectic mix of appetizers and entrees to tantalize different taste buds. From the Salmon Tartar ($9) to the Poached Pear Salad ($9) for starters, to the Steak Frites ($25) or Macaroni Au Gratin ($12), everything looks, and tastes delectable.
So head for The Beaconsfield this weekend, and you will see the light.
