Kiss the Cook

Last time we hosted a dinner party (main course: eggplant parmigiana), it took us hours to figure out that eggs don't grow on plants and that our spatula really shouldn't do double-duty as a fly swatter. But we've improved and grown up (thankfully, so has our pocketbook) since then. Now, when trying to impress the masses with our still-to-be-learned cooking skills, we dial for help. And there's one set of adept hands we love to let loose in our kitchen: The Chef Upstairs, Lyle Beaugard.

Taking the guess work out of dinner parties, The Chef Upstairs is the answer to our cooking impaired - all we have to do is provide the venue and let our inner hostess entertain in stress-free style. After that, it's all about following a foolproof recipe for dining success:

Step one: Choose the menu from family favourites or the Chef's creations.
Step two: Pick the wine, tablecloths, china and glasses.
Step three: Charge up the iPod with your favourite music.
Step four: Invite eight to 16 friends over for an intimate dinner (30 for a reception).
Step five: Mix all the ingredients together and voilà. No dishes to clean, no food to cook, no table to set.

Now who wants to kiss the cook?
