Deux Amis

We have studiously poured over food and entertaining publications and made peace with our inner food snobs. We have learned the difference between riesling and Rioja and have become quite adept at ordering Epoisses from the restaurant cheese cart. Which is why we love to shop for all of our entertaining needs at specialty food stores - including our weekly pilgrimage to Les Amis du Fromage, Vancouver’s premier cheese boutique in Kitsilano.

And we have reason to celebrate, now that our favourite Fromagerie is closer to home. A second Les Amis location has opened in West Vancouver with all the benefits of the original but without the travel time. Our mouths are watering at the thought of Vancouver’s best selection of sourced and artisan cheeses, fresh-frozen dinners and specialty condiments.

Joe (our favorite cheese guy) is running the show at the new Park Royal location and with a little advance notice can whip up a cheese plate that will make your guests swoon. And If you give him a heads up he can have any product not available at the Park Royal store sent over from Kitsilano.

With such service, knowledge and fresh selection (as well as the option to sample) at Les Amis du Fromage, we have no excuse not to treat ourselves to the very best! (Not that we were looking for an excuse. . . )
