It’s the long weekend. You deserve a break. And we’ve got the perfect weekend getaway that’s just two hours away: Stowe, Vermont.

Stay:

Indulge:
If you’re looking for luxury on another level, Topnotch is a must. The spa is one of the top ten in the US; our favourite treatments include the maple sugar body scrub and the wildflower herbal wrap.

Eat:
For a bit of Barefoot Contessa meets cottage, head to the Harvest Market for breakfast or lunch. This Stowe favourite has a full bakery, a take-out counter of fine foods, international wines and unique bottled jams and dips.

For dinner, newcomer Flavor features an eclectic menu crafted by NYC chefs. The dishes are worldwide stemming from Thailand to the Middle East.

And for dessert: The Ben & Jerry’s factory is just 15 minutes outside of Stowe. Stop by for a tour and sample a scoop or two of “Vermont’s Finest”.

Shop:
For the best buys, take a detour to Burlington on your way to Stowe. Try Ecco for beautiful dresses and great jeans, and then head to Express and Victoria’s Secret in the University Mall to get your fix.

So pack your bags, burn some CDs and get ready for a weekend adventure south of the border.
