T for you
giftsMontreal, Toronto, Vancouver
(May.12.06)
It’s a common scenario. You've spent an entire Saturday in the downtown core and are in desperate need of a last minute gift before the sun goes down. With no time to head to your dependable gift store in whatever corner of the city it’s hiding in, T & Biscuits will save you. A surprising addition to the Sherbrooke strip, T & Biscuits opened in early April. The shelves full of pretty things are worth checking out, even if you aren’t looking for a gift (although we are quite certain you’ll find a reason to buy something).
The glass dessert plates with sketches of cupcakes and yummy things from Prima Donna ($35 for four) will impress your guests with their cuteness, whether you’re eating sweets off them or just have them on display. The spongy bowling pin set by Torre & Tagus ($85) is a great toy to have at the cottage when rainy afternoons keep everyone indoors.
But if you really want to add some “wow” factor to your gifting, check out the adorable espresso cups by Alessi. Clearly works of art, two cups will put a $107-size dent in your wallet, but have you ever seen anything so pretty to sip espresso out of? We didn’t think so.
