Café Culture with a Conscience

Chain coffee shops are convenient, but we try to sip with a conscience when we can.

Enter Café Saint Henri, a new neighbourhood hotspot owned by coffee-lovers who go the extra mile – literally – to bring customers a superior cup of Joe. The café’s java is sourced entirely through green coffee collective Cooperative Coffees.

The coffee selection at this cosy hangout will impress even the most sophisticated of palates, with notes ranging from cherry to chocolate, citrus and nutmeg. We sampled a floral Yirgacheffe blend ($2.25) from Ethiopia, with traces of bergamot, lavender and rose. A white chocolate blueberry cookie ($2.25) was the perfect pastry pairing.

For a java jolt this delicious, we’d go a mile out of our way.
