Stop that, start this, don't eat one thing, eat more of something else. Since when did starting the New Year mean turning on our inner drill sergeant?
For a resolution that we actually want to keep, it's off to the new Daily Apple Centre. The company that has been filling our spelt muffin cravings since last year just opened its permanent doors.
Bringing together more than just its natural, homemade baked goods and prepared dishes (though there's a retail section with them too), this lifestyle centre makes it easy to live healthier, no punishing inner dialogue required.
Whether it's a cooking, nutrition or exercise class; something active for the kids or checking in with the newly added naturopathic doctor, our wholesome options seem endless. OK, maybe it's just an excuse to pick up some more Couch Potato ($12), a garlic-filled smash of potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower and vegan Oatmeal Choco-Chip Cookies ($6). Either way, we're reaping the rewards.
Nothing cancels out a few too many cookies like BuffBody Bootcamp ($17/drop in, packages available). After all, healthy living is all about balance. (We'll drink to that.)
