We can’t be the only ones who’ve fantasized about fitting into a double-zero.
But who can think of dieting now that downtown Calgary has its first authentic pizzeria? Double Zero Pizza – named after the type of flour used in creating the perfect pizza dough – just opened a 220-seat resto and we’re already addicted.
We loved the margherita pizza ($13) topped with San Marzano tomatoes and fresh Alberta mozzarella, and the delish antipasto platter ($24/$42) is perfect for sharing. The core ingredients (flour, oil and tomatoes) come directly from Italy, while the fresh toppings are sourced locally whenever possible.
Forget squeezing into vanity-sized skinny jeans – we’ll be focusing on a different kind of Double Zero this summer.
