Market Fresh Finds at New Pub

(Aug.23.11)
We’re serious about fresh produce.
And after completing our very important grocery missions at Marché Jean-Talon, we like to relax and commune with fellow fruit-and-veg connoisseurs at Le Pourvoyeur, which has an upstairs/downstairs terrasse that opens directly onto the market.
The new gourmet pub is industrial chic with an upbeat nightclubby/rock soundtrack and Belle Gueule on tap ($6.50/20oz). But we’re all about the ingredients – lunch, brunch and nightly tapas reflect Jean-Talon’s European-immigrant and Québécois traditions. We tried the Poutine à Talon, $6 (plus optional Ukrainian sausage or bison), Portuguese-inspired Natas à l’érable, ($4.50), and delicious pulled pork ($9) on a Kaiser bun.
Looks like we’ll be getting serious about Le Pourvoyeur, too.
