Griffintown has made a name for itself as a foodie mecca – on Notre-Dame Street.
But blazing a trail just a few blocks north is a new chef-owned southern Italian belle named Nora Gray. With low lighting, dark wood paneling, cozy tables and minimal décor, this ultra-chic, 45-seat hotspot is, in a word, intimate.

We gobbled up the calamari and meatballs ($11), then raved over the goat’s ricotta with seasonal veg ($8). A half-portion of wild mushroom Cavatelli ($11) with tender fresh peas paired nicely with the suckling pig with fennel ($21) and an elegant glass of Beaujolais Villages ($11). But the stewed figs with homemade pistachio ice cream ($8) were simply perfetto.
Welcome to the neighbourhood.
