Cowgirl 1: We’ve got a great thing out here on the range, but sometimes I’d just like to shake it up a bit.
Cowgirl 2: I know what you’re saying. My heart’s not in my “yee-haws” lately.
Luckily, the folks at The Ranche have come up with a way to put the conviction (and a couple of howdys) back into our western ways.
Starting this month, the restaurant in the 19th Century ranch house will offer an indulgent five-course Chef’s Tasting Menu ($75/person), highlighting their signature mountain cuisine.
Every week, chef Thomas Neukom will rustle up new grub that uses naturally raised game – from the company’s own game ranch – as well as organic meat, poultry and fish, fresh vegetables and freshly baked breads and desserts. All this, and wine pairings too.
The tasting menu is available Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. only.
We’re already making plans to mosey on down again. Now where can we tie our horse?
