We never met Charlie of the Angels, and we’re likely not going to meet Charlie of the Burgers, but that isn’t going to stop us from signing up for this new, oh-so secret “anti-restaurant” dining experience – Charlie’s Burgers.
The premise is unique and full of mystery – you sign up online and are e-mailed a questionnaire about your food preferences. Picky eaters need not apply (though our bacon-eating, vegetarian friend still managed to sneak in, perhaps on charm?).
Once approved, invitations will be sent to you at random intervals for a meal by a random chef at a random location. The first to respond will receive their spot at the table and receive (some) further details.
You won’t know what you’ll be eating until the event (but don’t sweat it, they’ve promised no Fear Factor menu items here – think authentic, gourmet dishes using the freshest ingredients and a lot of skill). You can expect to pay $60-80 per person (based on the cost of food and number of attendees).
Maybe the Angel’s can crack this case, but our investigative work only revealed that this culinary adventure was started by a food-loving group where top chefs are given a blank canvas to create whatever menu they want, with no boundaries.
We’ll eat to that Charlie.
