Sam tries out the new Kerastase treatment Chronologiste.

The Claim: They say it's a revolution. They say they've taken everything good in every one of their products and combined them all into one 'super-product'.
Too good to be true? That's what I was thinking. So, I just had to go see for myself what all the hype was about.
The new Kerastase Chronologiste is an interesting concept. Made of "Mimetic Caviar: A quintessential combination of the most precious essential active ingredients present in the highest concentration ever", the treatment claims to restructure and revitalize both skin and hair.
The Truth: Revitalize, it did. I went to Hair on the Avenue last week to test out Chronologiste and was immediately smitten. My hair felt lighter and stronger (the scalp massage certainly helped) and I got quite a few compliments on my rejuvenated 'do. I continued to notice a difference over the next few days.
The treatment comes with two separate ingredients, a mask and the caviar, which are to be combined at the last minute. It is then applied to the hair like dye (with a brush, starting at the roots) and is worked through the hair. Next, it should be massaged into the scalp. Kerastase claims it's simply the "best product ever created by Kerastase". (I'd say Chroma Thermique is definitely a close second.)
Overall, I thought the treatment was fantastic. Even the $75 price tag to have it done in a salon (30 minute scalp massage with a wash and style is included) is worth it (for special occasions). You can also purchase it and apply it at home for $150 (which gives you 10 applications).
I personally was never a fan of caviar. Until now.
