Mia met with Kim Kardashian to talk scents, beauty and how to get over an ex.
I recently had the pleasure of meeting a certain celebrity, and while I don't normally go ga-ga for celebs (they're just people after all..incredibly beautiful, talented, well-dressed people...) I was stunned not only by her beauty and style, but also charmed with her lovely manner and impressed with her extensive knowledge of scents.
Kim Kardashian met with a small group from the media to dish on her new self-titled perfume (available on The Shopping Channel), and I was lucky enough to attend.
Kim was incredibly friendly, not to mention stylish (she wore a sexy leather mini by Elise Overland and killer L.A.M.B heels). She told us about the creation of the scent (which required 50 samples shipped back and forth from a lab in NYC to her home in LA to perfect!) and shared the personal touches she added, like notes of tuberose to remind her of her Mother and gardenias for her Father. The scent was ultra feminine and fresh, and we agreed it would be the perfect perfume to wear on a date.
Speaking of dating and boys...we joked about the ability of scents to invoke memories of certain people, and during the creation process, Kim picked up on a note that reminded her of an ex boyfriend, and promptly removed it. Talk about out of sight, out of scent...
She also shared her must-have beauty products: makeup wipes when travelling, lip plumping Lip Fusion gloss, and Make Up For Ever Microfinish Powder (which I'm going out to buy immediately). And the one thing she won't leave the house without? Cle de Peau Concealer, for the dark circles under her eyes.
So there you have it, even exceptional beauties have their secrets for hiding flaws. But really, whether you're presenting a flawless face, or giving off a luscious aroma, what really shines is a kind and friendly disposition, and a good sense of humour, both of which Kim has...plus a hot bod to boot.
