April Showers...
tales from the pit canada
(Apr.13.09)
The month of April doesn't only mean showers; for me it's been bringing a few other things...
Bargain Hunting
I've been watching my pretty little pennies lately, so am cutting back on shopping. But never one to pass up a great deal, I admit to keeping my closet pretty full. My two most recent purchases are the cute bowed blouse ($22) from the new Alfred Sung line for Zellers (similar to this one, but in black) and a salmon-coloured summer frock ($19) complete with rosettes at the neckline from one of those super rando stores near the subway (no joke!).

National Geographic Channel
As of late I’ve had a few weekends of vegging on the couch (actually, one ENTIRE weekend was spent on the couch while A. recovered from leg surgery) and my channel of choice is more often than not, National Geographic Channel. Oh the things I’ve learned! From the reproductive strategies of wasps to my growing obsession with DogTown, consider me a wealth of knowledge of anything and everything Nationally Geographically-related. (It hasn’t yet given me an edge on Jeopardy mind you, but give it time).
And a few others...
Boot-wearing. Although I long for Spring and warmer weather, with the heat comes flats and sandals and saying goodbye (for now) to my trusty Fryes. So I've been wearing them relentlessly while I still can - I'll miss you boots!

Obsessing over my birthday. I'm a May baby and love my birthday - almost as much as Christmas. This year on my wish-list is this LV Poche toilette that will serve as the perfect birthday clutch.

I'd love to hear what April means for you (log in and let me know!).
