We admit it. We’re in awe that we can monitor Britney’s every misguided move and know the name of Nicole’s baby minutes after the birth. (What can’t the Internet do?) But slumping over our laptops soaking up the smut hasn’t done much for our posture.
Determined to straighten up, we went for a session with fitness guru Daniela Moretti, master at correcting a spine’s alignment. That done, she began working on getting us ripped using her private studio’s arsenal of pilates equipment and curiously-shaped balls and foam rolls.
After a thorough evaluation, including questions about our daily habits, she made a customized set of exercises that target our problems and helped in developing abdominal strength, full body control, greater flexibility of the spine and something she calls total body awareness. (Is your head jutting out? Is your pelvis tucked under the right amount?)
Our biggest lesson learned? Small motions can work miracles. Within a few weeks, we were walking tall. (And surfing our gossip sites both with curiosity and correct curvatures.)
