You Say You Want a Revolution

We've always coveted the perfect Hollywood figure (as in a healthy Jessica Biel, not a hungry Kate Bosworth kind of way). If only we could afford a permanent nutritionist and a personal trainer our ideal body might be achievable.

The team at Revolution Fitness agrees. The new downtown gym is taking a different approach to membership: Not only do they tell you exactly how to reach your goals they also give you the guidance and motivation needed to stick to the program.

We defined the body we wanted (bootylicious) and after meeting with the Director of Fitness (Will) and resident Nutritionist (Martha), we were given a personalized cardio, weights and eating plan designed to get us to our peak physique. Our list of exercises is printed out each time we visit, we record what we do, our workout sheet gets reviewed and adjusted as necessary. The workouts get harder and we get less, well, jiggly.

Plus, the eating part is easy. Revolution provides us with daily plans, including options for eating out (like how to survive the PATH food courts). And if we start slipping, we have back-up support to swoop in and help us. But with TV's on treadmills, spa-like change rooms stocked with towels, a team of on-staff personal trainers ready to motivate and an in-house wellness centre, we're definitely on the right path.

Does it work? So far, every woman who has joined Revolution Fitness (since their opening earlier this year) Has been successful at losing weight. Hollywood, here we come.
