Yoga has all kinds of health and well-being benefits – both the obvious and beyond (just ask the Journal of Sexual Medicine).
On that note, we’re happy to report the opening of Sanguine Yoga.
The first hot yoga studio in the city’s northeast, temperatures inside the 3,700-square foot facility are set somewhere between 30-33 degrees Celsius (hello, paradise). The space features two large studios (one usually cooler than the other), cork flooring, natural light and reams of free parking.
Classes run seven days a week, for 60 or 90 minutes. Drop-in classes ($16) and multi-class packages ($70, $130, $240) are available. For the rest of March, all classes are 2 for 1. (So bring a friend and split the cost.)
We were thrilled to spot the teaching roster that includes some of the top Ashtanga teachers in the city. Check the schedule for Sara Schwarz and Angie Lo, talented yogis who offer a hip hop yoga class matched to live beats by a local DJ.
Our hamstrings are feeling longer already.
