Mama knows best, right?
So we’re going to wash that manmade chemical right out of our hair, and turn back to Mother Nature to handle our tresses.
After three weeks of using the new, all-natural Saijojo line, our locks are shiny, healthy and under control. Plus, our conscience is just as clean – there are no toxins being rinsed down our drain in the name of beauty.
The brainchild of Canadian hairstylist Mario Vertilli, the line uses natural oils, vitamins and biodegradable ingredients like specially developed polysaccharides (sugars) that simulate the hold of industry-standard synthetic plastics.
The Daily Goodness Shampoo ($13.25) and Conditioner ($14.25) are now shower staples. And rather than inhale petroleum-based plastics with every spritz of our hairspray, we’re sticking to the light Styling Spray ($12.25) for a little lift (without the helmet hold). Our waves are a perfect match for the Styling Foam ($11.50); it cuts the frizz and protects our tresses from our hairdryer (for tighter curls try the Styling Glaze, $15.25).
Better for us, better for the environment. Thanks, mom (and Mario).
