Over the years our eyebrows have experienced more transformations than Madonna (though admittedly nowhere near as outlandish). From the bushy caterpillar to the overly tweezed tadpole, it’s a wonder we haven’t given up.
But before we became ready to throw in the tweezers we headed to the new Benefit Brow Bar for a desperately needed Brow Arch ($23).
New to Canada, the Brow Bar is a haven for misshapen brows (and rushed shoppers since it’s on the main floor of Holt's Bloor Street). Highly skilled aestheticians wax and groom while sharing the dos and don’ts of brow care, and top off the experience with makeup touch ups to hide redness and enhance eyes.
We were most impressed with the brow zings ($34) kit that was used to shape and define, followed by a “lift” with the high brow ($24) lifting pencil. And after what was truly the most relaxing wax of our lives (we kid you not) we were pleased to find our unruly brows had been tamed into perfectly styled arches.
Call to book an appointment or swing by the Benefit counter when you feel the sudden urge (or stray hair); an aesthetician is always on hand for drop-in visits. Plus, the opportunity to peruse the well-stocked display of some of our beauty favourites is never one to miss.
